For insurers and adjusters

What an estimate looks like when everyone uses the same book

Two worked examples — a water loss with mold, and a kitchen fire with smoke — showing the measurements an adjuster needs, the line-item detail, and the margin agreed before the storm.

Example estimates

Sample numbers for illustration, written from our own county price book. Item codes are ours; they are cross-referenced to the standard industry codes so an adjuster reviewing in their own system recognises every line.

What the adjuster checks
The same checklist our partners are trained to document before they submit.
  • Date of loss against the date mitigation started — delay changes what is covered
  • Category and class of water, with the reading log that supports it
  • Photo of every flood cut and moisture meter reading, room by room
  • Equipment count justified by room volume, not by what was on the truck
  • Drying log showing readings fell day by day before equipment came out
  • Third-party clearance before any rebuild line items are approved
Confidentiality

Every carrier's terms stay their own

Carrier terms stay carrier-only
Each insurer's agreed margin, minimum job value and effective dates are stored against that insurer alone. No partner and no other carrier can see another carrier's terms.
Partners see only their own rate card
An approved partner signs in and sees the counties, categories and margin that apply to them. Nothing else in the network is visible to them.
Policyholder details are never in the price book
The price book holds markets, line items and margins. Names, addresses and claim numbers stay in the carrier's own claim system.
Signed and logged
Every agreement records who agreed it and when. Changes are versioned so an adjuster can see which numbers were in force on the date of loss.
Adjuster training

Four short sessions, and an adjuster can work the panel

We run the same training for carrier staff, independent adjusters and our own partners, so both sides of a file are reading the estimate the same way.

  1. STEP 1

Session 1 — How the price book works

Where the numbers come from, how local markets differ, and why an agreed margin removes the back-and-forth.

  2. STEP 2

    Session 2 — Reading a mitigation estimate

Category and class, equipment counts against room volume, drying logs, and the clearance step before rebuild.

  3. STEP 3

Session 3 — Fire, smoke and contents

Separating fire damage from smoke damage, cleaning versus replacing, and how contents are handled.

  4. STEP 4

Session 4 — Working with the panel

Assigning by county, what our vetting covers, cycle time expectations and how supplements are handled.
